Talking Creative AI and fashion with RMIT Masters students

I was lucky enough to be invited down to RMIT last week to help kick off the year for returning Masters students. Despite me remaining unconvinced that anyone would actually turn up week one, the lecture theatre did in fact full up of minds eager to think about how their chosen passion, fashion design, might be impacted by AI in the coming years. We talked about a bunch of different tools from the past couple of decades that have paved the way for creative people to begin using machine learning-powered products now and soon. Thanks heaps to Silverpond for providing us access to their AI Fashion Designer platform which allowed us all to mess with Fashion MNIST and other datasets in interesting, interactive ways.
